AC Milan's new coach, Ruben Amorim, is evaluating the team's roster and preparing a shopping list for the upcoming transfer window. He is reportedly planning to switch to a 3-4-2-1 formation for the next season. Amorim's initial requests include two new defenders, a left winger, an attacking midfielder or winger, and a center-forward.
Amorim has already made contact with some of the team's key players, including goalkeeper Mike Maignan and midfielder Adrien Rabiot, and plans to speak with forward Rafael Leao after the World Cup. He aims to keep most of the current star players, but it remains to be seen how the club will finance his transfer requests, especially given the team's failure to qualify for the Champions League.
The club's management, including Calvelli, Kirovski, Lomonte, and Gardiner, are working closely with Amorim to identify potential targets. The team's new course, announced by owner Cardinale, is expected to bring significant changes, but details are still scarce.
Securing Amorim's top targets will likely require some significant sales, and the club will need to balance its budget to accommodate the new signings.
