AC Milan has reported a loss of 25 million euros for the 2025-2026 season, marking a significant shift from three consecutive years of profit. The loss is primarily attributed to the club's failure to participate in European competitions, resulting in the absence of UEFA prize money. Despite this, the club's financial solidity, with a net worth of 199 million euros as of June 30, 2025, allows it to absorb the deficit without major issues.
The club's overall revenue decreased to 433 million euros, a 12.4% drop from the previous year's 494 million euros. This decline was largely due to a 42.40% decrease in television rights, which fell to 89 million euros, and a drop in stadium revenue. However, commercial revenues bucked the trend, increasing by 5.90% to over 160 million euros, driven by a new agreement with main sponsor Emirates.
On the cost side, the club estimates a reduction of about 25 million euros, bringing the total to 443 million euros, a 7% decrease. The club benefited from savings on San Siro's rent following the acquisition of the area with Inter, while the wage bill saw a slight decrease. Provisions of 13 million euros include costs related to the departure of several executives.
Regarding the coaching staff, there will be no provision for Massimiliano Allegri's departure, as he agreed to terminate his contract with the club, effectively waiving his second and final year's salary.
