AC Milan have finally completed the signing of Mario Gila, the Spanish centre-back joining from Lazio. The Rossoneri had been linked with several other targets, including Antonio Silva and Goncalo Inacio, but swiftly moved to secure Gila's services. Within 48 hours, Milan presented an official bid, agreed personal terms, raised the transfer fee offer, and agreed everything with Lazio.
Gila, who has already impressed against Milan on multiple occasions, arrived in the city on Thursday night and passed his medical on Friday. The 26-year-old defender will now officially join the team pending an announcement. His addition is expected to bolster Ruben Amorim's three-man defence.
The transfer deal is reportedly significant, with Gila signing a contract until 2031. Rossoneri fans will be eager to see how he performs and whether he can transform the back line. Gila's stats and performances against top teams will be closely watched.
As the official announcement nears, Milan fans are optimistic about Gila's potential impact. The Spanish centre-back's strengths and weaknesses will be analysed in detail as he prepares to take on a key role in the team.
