AC Milan have confirmed the signing of Edoardo Zanaga from Empoli, with the young forward joining the Milan Futuro project. This initiative is part of the club's strategy to develop new talent, and Zanaga is the latest addition to their youth sector.

Zanaga, who was born in 2008, plays as a centre-forward or second striker, but can also operate on the wings. He has previously cited Zlatan Ibrahimovic as an inspiration, and his physical attributes suggest he could potentially play in a similar style. Before joining Empoli in the summer of 2022, Zanaga played for SCA Asti and was part of Juventus' youth team.

During his time at Empoli, Zanaga had a notable spell with the U16s, scoring eight goals in nine games and earning recognition as the best player in Group C. Although he faced a severe injury in the 2024-25 season, he returned to form with the Under 17s. Now, he will take the next step in his career with Milan Futuro.

The transfer fee for Zanaga was reportedly €300k, and the club is excited about his potential. With this signing, Milan continue to invest in their youth development program, aiming to nurture young talents for the future.
