AC Milan have already splashed out over €100 million in the summer transfer window and are set to continue their spending spree. The club's management, led by Gerry Cardinale, have offered manager Paulo Fonseca a €250 million budget to revamp the squad. This significant outlay is part of RedBird's plan to usher in a new era at the club, with top-tier signings already made.

The focus is now on potentially offloading some players to fund further additions. One player who could be on the move is Rafael Leao, although there has been little interest in him so far. However, with Portugal's World Cup campaign over, clubs may start to come forward with offers.

In preparation for a potential Leao departure, the club have already identified some replacements. Konstantinos Karestas, a left-footed and technically gifted player who can play as a #10 or on the wing, is one name liked internally. He would cost around €40 million to bring to San Siro. Other options include Can Uzun, valued at €45 million, and Kerim Alajbegovic, valued at around €30 million.

The club are not waiting for Leao's sale to start making moves, with the process to replace him already underway. This proactive approach is part of Milan's strategy to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
