AC Milan's owner Gerry Cardinale has made a significant decision regarding the club's management structure. The new setup is inspired by the 'Liverpool and Red Bull model', a corporate structure that differs from the traditional Italian football model. Cardinale, along with new head coach Ruben Amorim and CEO Massimo Calvelli, will be at the helm of the club. This new structure aims to bring a fresh approach to the team's management.

The new management team will comprise Hendrik Almstadt as sporting director and director of player trading, while Bobby Gardiner will take on the role of director of football intelligence. Donato Lomonte, the new head of scouting, will report to Gardiner, and Jovan Kirovski will remain in charge of Milan Futuro, focusing on developing young players. Vincenzo Vergine will oversee the youth sector. This new structure is considered experimental in Serie A.

The club will still maintain a core group tied to RedBird, with Calvelli and David Castelblanco as advisors for investments, operations, and transfer negotiations. Zlatan Ibrahimovic will also continue as a senior advisor. The new management team faces a significant challenge in building a strong Milan side to return the club to the top.

With the managerial restructuring complete, Cardinale and his team will focus on preparing for the upcoming season, which is set to begin in about twenty days. The team's performance on the pitch will be crucial in assessing the success of this new management structure.
