Amorim is perfectly in line with the best starts Milan has had in recent seasons with three discriminants that further favor the Portuguese coach: it should be remembered that Amorim is making his absolute debut on Milan's bench, has no Serie A experience and comes wanting to play a football completely opposite to that advocated by his predecessor.

What does all this teach us? That it is totally useless to pass judgments and already shout for dismissal or project failure after a defeat. Amorim started very well in terms of points earned in Serie A, is only two points behind the top of the table and is gradually showing his game and ideas also on the field. Time and patience are needed in a newly born project that can last years and years. Amorim was personally chosen by Cardinale who, after Milan-Lecce, reinforced the figure and confidence in the Portuguese coach: what is the point of negatively judging after the first real misstep (the 2-0 suffered from Benfica)? The only consequence is to destabilise the whole environment and put a doubt in the ears of already skeptical fans. All that is unnecessary for a new coach facing a championship he does not know.
