Gerry Cardinale was present at San Siro for Milan-Venezia on Friday and according to a report, he will remain in the city ahead of deadline day.

The Milan owner got to see his team beat Venezia in front of a sold-out San Siro, making it two wins out of a possible two. The start to Ruben Amorim’s tenure has certainly been positive, but a tough test awaits the Rossoneri next weekend, as they will be up against Juventus.

Given that Rafael Leao is heading to Galatasaray, having said goodbye last night , it’s possible that Milan could make one more reinforcement before the transfer window closes. As a reminder, the deadline is set for Tuesday evening.

Extended stay in Milan

According to MilanNews , Cardinale didn’t just fly to Milan for the game against Venezia. He will remain in the city until the window closes, which definitely suggests that something could happen, especially since close contact with Amorim is expected.

If one had to guess, the reinforcement could be made for the attacking midfield positions, where Milan have relied on Cisse, Loftus-Cheek, Rabiot and Saelemaekers so far. Pulisic is also in the squad, but he hasn’t played yet as he recently came back from injury.

Anyway, it’s worth keeping an eye on the Rossoneri in these final days as multiple reports are suggesting that something could happen. Cardinale’s decision to stay in the city is just further proof of that.
