AC Milan target Gift Orban has been handed a 12-month ban from attending sporting events as a spectator. The punishment comes after an altercation with a Hellas Verona fan in a car park near the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi following a Serie A match between Verona and Milan on April 19.
Orban was approached by a fan who asked for a photo, but the player responded angrily, sparking a heated exchange. The situation escalated, with other fans getting involved and creating a potential public safety risk outside the stadium.
The ban allows Orban to continue playing for his club, but restricts him from attending matches as a spectator for 12 months. The player will be able to fulfill his professional obligations, including taking to the field regularly.
The incident has raised questions about Orban's temperament and behavior, particularly given his status as a potential transfer target for AC Milan.
