Thankfully, Mario Gila seems fine, despite being forced off in AC Milan’s match against Juventus on Sunday night.

When Gila came off last night, there were a few fears about his situation. He seemed to be limping before being removed from the field and there were no concrete reports about what had happened. So worries were rather high.

The defender stated that he had some pain in his patella, which certainly isn’t ideal, and tests were supposed to take place today to assess the situation. However, it seems they haven’t been deemed necessary.

Gila trains with the squad

According to MilanNews , the defender will not have any tests today after the ‘injury’ last night. Instead, he worked with the team in their recovery session and completed it, ruling out any serious problem.

If that wasn’t enough to settle worries, he is ‘not worried’ about facing Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico this weekend and he will be expected to start once again, you’d imagine.

Matteo Gabbia remains out, though it’s worth mentioning that he’s back running individually, which is a ‘significant improvement’, whilst Fikayo Tomori won’t be ready for a starting spot just yet.

So, Ruben Amorim doesn’t have the option of rotating him just yet.
