Zlatan Ibrahimovic is reportedly keen on Matthias Jaissle becoming the new manager of AC Milan. The German coach has apparently left Ibrahimovic and club owner Gerry Cardinale impressed with his modern and attacking style of football. A meeting took place in London between Jaissle and the Rossoneri duo, where Ibrahimovic was 'bewitched' by Jaissle's approach to the game.
However, Cardinale still has some reservations about appointing Jaissle. The German coach is currently contracted to Al Ahli, and it would take a fee of around €6 million to release him from his deal. Jaissle, on the other hand, is said to be willing to give up his €11 million salary to join AC Milan, which could tip the scales in his favour.
The managerial situation at Milan has been fluid, with several candidates emerging and then being ruled out. Ibrahimovic's endorsement of Jaissle could be a significant factor in the decision-making process. Contacts between the parties are ongoing, and a final decision could be made soon.
Jaissle's potential appointment would mark a new chapter in AC Milan's managerial history. The club has been searching for a new coach, and Jaissle's attacking style of football has clearly impressed Ibrahimovic and Cardinale.
