AC Milan's pursuit of Genk star Konstantinos Karetsas continues to gain momentum. The Belgium international has reportedly prioritized a move to the Rossoneri over Borussia Dortmund, but it seems the Milan management will need to make a sale first. Rafael Leao's potential exit could be the key to unlocking the funds needed to secure Karetsas' services.
According to Sky journalist Matteo Moretto, Milan are still in the running for Karetsas, with the player's valuation remaining around €35m plus bonuses. The 25-year-old's breakout season in Belgium has seen his price tag increase to around €40m, but it appears Milan are willing to wait for the right moment to make their move.
Moretto has revealed that Karetsas would be willing to wait for Milan if it means joining his top choice. With the Rossoneri needing to make a sale to bring in funds, it remains to be seen whether they can secure Karetsas' signature before the transfer window closes.
