Spanish centre-back Mario Gila has arrived in Milan to begin his medical tests ahead of joining AC Milan. He was greeted by fans outside his hotel, signing autographs and smiling for photos. Gila expressed his excitement to start a new adventure with the Rossoneri.

Gila will undergo his medical checks at the La Madonnina clinic, followed by sporting fitness tests at La Ambrosiana clinic. He will then head to Casa Milan to sign his contract. The announcement of his transfer is expected to be made later today, pending a successful medical.

Gila joins Milan from Lazio for a fee of €30m, including bonuses. He is set to sign a five-year contract worth €4.5m in fixed salary plus €1m in bonuses. The 26-year-old defender will join new teammate Goncalo Ramos in Ruben Amorim's squad.

The transfer is expected to be completed smoothly, with Gila becoming the latest addition to Milan's squad.
