AC Milan's women's team has secured a major contract extension with midfielder Marta Mascarello agreeing to stay with the club until June 30 2028. The 1998-born player has been with the Rossoneri since the summer of 2022 and has made 93 appearances, scoring two goals and providing 15 assists. Her growth has been marked by dedication, seriousness, and a sense of belonging, making her a solid reference point for the team under coach Suzanne Bakker.
Mascarello's extension is a significant boost for the team as they look to build on their sixth-place finish in the Serie A Women last season. The team accumulated 32 points from nine wins, five draws, and eight losses in 22 matches. The news will be welcomed by fans and the coaching staff as the team aims to improve on their performance in the upcoming campaign.
The club has also been recognized for its innovative approach to maternity policy, receiving the Game On Changers Award for excellence in this area. On an individual note, young Norwegian player Thea Kyvåg was named in the Top XI Under 23 for the 2025/26 Serie A Women season.
The team's efforts on and off the pitch are a testament to the club's commitment to women's football and its desire to compete at the highest level.
