AC Milan is on the verge of a significant shake-up in their technical and management team. The club's owner, Gerry Cardinale, is expected to announce Ruben Amorim as the new head coach, replacing Massimiliano Allegri. Amorim, formerly of Sporting Lisbona and Manchester United, has agreed to a two-year contract with an option for a third season and a salary of around 3.5 million euros plus bonuses.

Amorim beat out Matthias Jaissle and Oliver Glasner for the top spot, and his appointment is seen as a major coup for the Rossoneri. Cardinale, along with Massimo Calvelli and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, is also working to bring in a new technical director. The preferred candidate is Markus Krosche, currently the technical area manager at Eintracht Frankfurt.

Krosche's contract with Eintracht runs until 2028, but Milan is trying to negotiate a release with a compensation fee. If an agreement is reached, Krosche could bring in Timmo Hardung or Devin Ozek as sporting director, with Hardung appearing to be the frontrunner.

The changes are part of a broader effort to revamp Milan's management and technical team following Allegri's departure.
