AC Milan's search for a new technical director has reached a critical juncture, with Markus Krosche emerging as the top target. According to Fabrizio Romano, Milan have a verbal agreement in place with Krosche, but are still awaiting clearance from his current club, Eintracht Frankfurt. The German club are reportedly resistant to losing Krosche, particularly at this stage in the transfer window.

Krosche's role would involve overseeing multiple aspects of the club's sporting operations, making him a highly influential figure. His current focus on Eintracht's transfer business, including the impending sale of Nathaniel Brown to Bayern, has complicated negotiations with Milan. Despite this, Romano suggests that Milan remain optimistic about securing Krosche's services.

The delay in Krosche's appointment may also be attributed to Eintracht's preference for a more advanced planning cycle. German clubs typically finalize their summer transfer plans in March or April, making it challenging for Milan to bring Krosche on board in mid-June. Nevertheless, Milan are pushing to finalize the deal as soon as possible.

Ruben Amorim, tipped as a potential new coach, may also play a role in Krosche's recruitment. With the two working in tandem, Milan hope to make a significant impact in the transfer market this summer.
