AC Milan are on the verge of bolstering their youth sector with the signing of talented forward Edoardo Zanaga from Empoli. The transfer is expected to cost €300,000 plus bonuses, with a percentage of any future resale. Zanaga will sign a contract with Milan until 2029 with an option for another year.

Zanaga, born in 2008, plays as a centre-forward or second striker, and can also operate as a right winger. He possesses good physical strength, which allows him to shield the ball effectively. The young player has cited Zlatan Ibrahimovic as an inspiration.

Zanaga has already made a name for himself in the Empoli youth team, demonstrating his goal-scoring ability. He began his youth career at SCA Asti before moving to Juventus, where he played in their youth team. Zanaga had a notable stint with Empoli, making his debut for the Primavera team and scoring his first goal in a 5-0 victory against Salernitana.

The Italian youth international has made 11 appearances and scored one goal with the Under 15s, one goal with the Under 16s, and one goal in five appearances with the Under 18s. Zanaga will initially play for Milan Primavera, providing a boost to their attacking options.
