AC Milan have officially exited their Settlement Agreement with UEFA, the governing body confirmed on Wednesday evening. This move comes after the Rossoneri complied with all necessary requirements, including posting a profit from the 2022-23 season onwards. The club's financial improvement over the past few years made their exit from the agreement widely expected.

Milan were one of several clubs, including Monaco, Besiktas, PSG, Royal Antwerp, and Trabzonspor, to meet their respective final targets for the 2025-26 season. By exiting the Settlement Agreement, Milan will no longer be subject to extra scrutiny and can comply with the Football Earnings rule without restrictions. The club entered the agreement back in 2022 and will now operate with more financial freedom.

The news will be welcomed by Milan fans and could have implications for the club's future transfer activity. With their financial situation stabilised, the Rossoneri may look to strengthen their squad in the upcoming transfer window.

Milan's exit from the Settlement Agreement stands in contrast to Roma, who are still under a Settlement Agreement and were recently fined €6m for breaching two requirements.
