AC Milan's pursuit of French midfielder Arthur Atta has ended, as he is set to join Fiorentina. According to Fabrizio Romano, Fiorentina has reached a total agreement with Udinese, securing Atta's transfer for a base fee of 30 million euros, plus bonuses and a percentage of any future resale.

Atta had been on Milan's radar, with the club holding talks with Udinese to discuss potential targets. However, it was Fiorentina who ultimately secured the deal, beating out competition from Juventus and Inter.

The transfer marks another significant investment for Fiorentina, following the arrivals of Radu Dragusin and Viery. This move demonstrates their ambition to build a highly competitive squad.

Milan will now need to explore alternative targets to strengthen their midfield, as Atta was reportedly a player admired by coach Ruben Amorim.
