AC Milan's Portuguese star Rafael Leao could have had a very different summer ahead. In January and February, Leao was close to extending his contract with the Rossoneri. A renewal proposal was on the table, which would have kept his salary in line with the team's cap, not exceeding €7 million net, including bonuses.

However, things took a turn, and by the end of the season, contract talks were no longer on the agenda. Leao's performances dropped, and coach Massimiliano Allegri couldn't rely on him. Now, an exit seems likely, but no offers are on the table yet.

Matteo Moretto recently discussed Leao's situation, revealing that AC Milan will have to find a solution this summer. Turkish clubs are currently the most interested in signing Leao, with the Premier League and Saudi Arabia also emerging as potential options.
