AC Milan are reportedly open to selling defender Fikayo Tomori to Newcastle United, with the Premier League club said to be keen on strengthening their defensive options. Tomori, 27, has been with Milan for over five years but may be on his way out after the club confirmed the signing of Mario Gila for €30m.

Tomori has been a long-time target for Newcastle manager Eddie Howe, and the Rossoneri have made him available for sale before the summer window closes. Several clubs across Europe are said to be interested in the English defender, but a return to the Premier League appears to be a preferred option.

The defender's contract with Milan runs until June 2027, but there are no plans for a renewal at this time. Last year, Tomori chose to stay and fight for a starting spot under Massimiliano Allegri, but his situation has changed with Gila's arrival.

Milan's willingness to sell Tomori has sparked interest from other clubs, and it remains to be seen where the defender will end up. A move to Newcastle would see Tomori reunite with Howe, who has been keen on signing him for some time.
