AC Milan will soon activate their buy-back clause for young talent Francesco Camarda, currently on loan at Lecce. The move is expected to cost the Rossoneri €500,000, a relatively small price to bring back a player highly regarded within the club. Camarda's loan to Lecce was agreed upon ahead of the 2025-26 season, with a buy-out clause set at around €3 million and a buy-back clause included in the deal.
The buy-back clause, valued at €3.5 million, needs to be activated by June 20, following Lecce's activation of their buy-out clause. It's widely anticipated that Camarda will return to Milan, but the bigger question is what his role will be in the 2026-27 season. Some suggest he should be part of the first team as a second-choice striker, while others believe another loan spell in Serie A could be beneficial for his development.
Camarda's loan spell at Lecce wasn't without its challenges, including a shoulder injury that kept him out for several games. Despite not getting as much playing time as he might have liked, he still showed promise and will look to make an impact at Milan. The club will need to decide whether to integrate him into the first team or send him out on loan again.
The coming weeks will be crucial in determining Camarda's future, with the young striker eager to make a name for himself in the Rossoneri squad.
