Of course, things can be worked upon in training, but without match practice, it is difficult to know what will and won’t work. So a friendly has been scheduled for this week to give some players a chance in a less pressured environment and keep them match sharp.

Friendly Friday

On Friday, as Tuttosport writes, via PianetaMilan, there will be a friendly against Padova at Milanello, where Ruben Amorim can try new ideas with the players not called up for international duty.

The aim is to test the attacking midfield spots, too, with Amorim still on the fence with certain combinations. Christian Pulisic, Omari Hutchinson, Alexis Saelemaekers and Ruben Loftus-Cheek will be key, then.

Pulisic is already a known quantity, but improvements are needed from the others. So, the game against Padova will hopefully see those areas worked on.
