AC Milan coach Ruben Amorim has expressed his confidence in Christian Pulisic despite a challenging few months for the player. Pulisic struggled in the second half of the season with Milan and also had a tough time at the World Cup, where he failed to score and picked up injuries.
Amorim has clear ideas about how he wants to utilize Pulisic, envisioning him playing on the left side with his right foot. He believes Pulisic can make a significant difference and is well-liked by the team. The coach sees Pulisic as a starter in the attacking midfield role on the centre-left, which could limit Rafael Leao's opportunities.
The planned role for Pulisic suggests that Leao's future may lie away from Milanello. Amorim did not comment on Leao during his presentation press conference, but it appears that Leao may not have a significant role in the team's plans. Pulisic's injury, a hairline fracture in his fibula, will keep him out for potentially over a month.
Amorim's strategy indicates a strong vote of confidence in Pulisic, who will be crucial to Milan's success in the upcoming season. The team's management is equally keen on keeping Pulisic, highlighting his importance to the squad.
