Dejan Savicevic, former AC Milan star, has expressed his disappointment with the team's failure to qualify for the Champions League. He believes the players, not the coach, are to blame for the team's downfall. Savicevic also weighed in on the potential sale of Rafael Leao, saying he would let the Portuguese winger go, citing concerns about his commitment to football.
Savicevic questioned the club's strategy, particularly regarding Leao's future, stating that not selling him was a mistake. He also jokingly dismissed the idea of Milan paying an indemnity to Eintracht for Domenico Krösche, saying he's not someone like Carlo Ancelotti.
The former rossonero is now enjoying the World Cup in Miami, where he's been impressed by Lionel Messi's continued top-level performance. He contrasted Messi's form with that of Cristiano Ronaldo, suggesting that Ronaldo's physical decline is affecting his game.
Savicevic also shared his thoughts on Vincenzo Montella's Turkey, who were eliminated from the competition, and praised the Italian coach's attacking mentality.
