AC Milan fans can breathe a sigh of relief as Theo Hernandez's agent Manuel García Quilón has quashed rumors of a potential return to Italy. The French left-back has been linked to Juventus and Como, but Quilón made it clear that his client's current salary of 20 million euros per season is a major obstacle for any Italian club.
Theo Hernandez joined AC Milan in 2019 and quickly became a fan favorite, making 262 appearances and scoring 34 goals. He left for Al-Hilal last summer, signing a lucrative contract worth 20 million euros per season. In his first season in Saudi Arabia, Hernandez won the Saudi Cup and scored 9 goals in 44 appearances.
Quilón's statement puts an end to speculation about Hernandez's potential return to Italy. The agent laughed off the idea of Juventus or Como being able to match Hernandez's current salary, saying that any club interested in him would have to offer a similar deal. This effectively rules out a return to AC Milan or any other Italian club.
With a contract valid until June 2028, Hernandez is set to continue his journey with Al-Hilal. The French defender has been a key player for the Saudi club, and it seems unlikely that he will be leaving anytime soon.
