Ahead of this weekend’s return to Serie A action, the first inklings about the AC Milan team are starting to be revealed.

This weekend kicks off an October which is horrible to look at. Milan will play for 21 points in as many days and that is difficult enough. When you look at the fixtures themselves too, the challenge only grows.

It’s a month that is often testing at the best of times, so Amorim will have to be near perfect with his rotations across the field and they could begin this weekend…

Potential Milan XI vs. Sassuolo

As Gianluca Di Marzio writes, the Portuguese is thinking of making several changes across the field this weekend. At the back, it appears Mike Maignan, Mario Gila and Strahinja Pavlovic may be the only survivors.

Koni De Winter is being challenged by Matteo Gabbia for a starting role, and Davide Bartesaghi is ready to start in Pervis Estupinan’s place, even if the Ecuadorian has recovered completely .

In the middle, the duo of Luka Modric and Adrien Rabiot will not be touched, whilst Samuel Chukwueze’s spot on the right is also secure. On the left, Diego Moreira and Alphadjo Cisse are battling for a role, and the Belgian is the more likely starter currently.

Christian Pulisic is then expected to start behind Goncalo Ramos in a 4-2-3-1 scenario. It’s certainly not all decided just yet, but the system is now likely to change.

Possible Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Gila; De Winter/Gabbia, Pavlovic, Bartesaghi; Chukwueze, Modric, Rabiot, Moreira/Cisse, Pulisic, Ramos.
