Filippo Inzaghi, former Milan striker, returns to talk about an important period of his career and does so on the day of the Italy versus France match. The current Palermo coach, interviewed by the microphones of Gazzetta dello Sport, wanted to recall the years spent at Juventus alongside Zinedine Zidane, now head coach of the French national team. But that is not all, because his statements also contain a bit of Milan.
Ex Milan, Inzaghi speaks
After the years at Juventus, in 2001 the transfer to Milan arrived, a club with which Inzaghi would later write the most important pages of his career. In red and black, the Italian forward played more than 250 matches, scoring 126 goals and becoming one of the greatest legends of the club.
The symbolic moment came in the 2007 Champions League final in Athens. Against Liverpool, Inzaghi scored a historic double that delivered Milan its seventh Champions title in its history, the last one won.
Inzaghi's playing career is also embellished by an absolutely top-level record. With the red-black shirt, Inzaghi won: 2 Champions Leagues, 2 Serie A titles, 1 Coppa Italia, 2 UEFA Super Cups, 1 Italian Super Cup and 1 Club World Cup.
