Spanish defender Mario Gila has landed in Milan, marking the beginning of his new adventure with AC Milan. He arrived at Linate airport and then headed to a hotel in the city centre, where he will spend the night before his medical scheduled for Friday morning.
Gila, who will join Milan for €30m from Lazio, including bonuses, also met some fans at the hotel. He gave a brief statement to reporters, expressing his happiness to be in Milan and his readiness to face the challenges ahead. The defender will sign a five-year contract worth €4.5m in fixed salary plus €1m in bonuses.
During his brief interaction with fans, Gila signed some shirts, showcasing his enthusiasm for his new club. He will join Goncalo Ramos as the latest new addition to the team.
