Collaboration between different clubs can produce important results both sportively and economically. An example is the relationship between Chelsea and Strasbourg, both belonging to the American consortium BlueCo.

Through this synergy, Diego Moreira developed, having been bought by Milan on 19 August for 45 million euros plus 20 million in bonuses. The Belgian winger had been transferred permanently from Chelsea to Strasbourg in the summer of 2024, when he did not yet seem ready to handle Premier League pressure. The two seasons played in France allowed the player to mature and his valuation to increase considerably.

According to Calciomercato.com, RedBird is also said to be starting to build a similar project through the relationship with Tolosa. The straight loan of David Odogu from Milan to the French club can be considered the first step of this new strategy.

The collaboration could also develop in the opposite direction. Odogu is awaiting his debut in Ligue 1, while Milan observes his progress and evaluates other players to possibly send to Tolosa in the future.

Potential profiles suitable for this experience include Guernier, El Hadji Malick Cissé and Maiga-Hamadoun Cissé, youngsters who could move from the Milan Futuro pathway to a high-level competition such as the French league. Pandolfi and Calvani are also mentioned by Calciomercato.com among the players with the necessary qualities to face a possible jump.

The goal would be to create a channel capable of accelerating talent growth and increasing their asset value. Milan and Tolosa do not replicate, from an ownership standpoint, the Chelsea‑Strasbourg structure, but could be inspired by the same sporting principle: identifying promising youngsters, guaranteeing them continuity and guiding them towards a higher level.
