The cost of wages for Milan rises by 16.3%, with the Portuguese, Maignan and Gila at the top of the ranking

The total wage bill for Milan grows consistently for the 2026-27 season. As highlighted by data from Calcio e Finanza, the red-and-black club pays salaries for the 27 players in the first-team squad amounting to a total of 64.8 million euros net, which corresponds to about 103.14 million euros gross. With these figures, the club stands in fourth place in the overall Serie A wage ranking, behind Inter, Juventus and Napoli.

Comparison with the previous season and the approach to third place

In the 2025/26 season Milan recorded, according to estimates, a wage bill of about 55.7 million euros net and remained below the 100-million gross threshold. In 2026/27 there is therefore a net increase of 9.1 million euros (+16.3%). On the gross side, surpassing the 100-million mark allows the reds to close the gap with Napoli, third in the overall ranking at 109.2 million euros gross.

Looking at the internal ranking, at the top of the list of highest earners are Gonçalo Ramos, Mike Maignan and Mario Gila with 5 million euros net per season. Immediately behind are Samuel Chukwueze, Christian Pulisic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek with 4 million, while Adrien Rabiot and Luka Modrić receive 3.5 million. At the bottom of the squad are the youngsters Alphadjo Cissé at 500 thousand euros, Christian Comotto at 300 thousand euros and Lorenzo Torriani at 300 thousand euros.
