AC Milan have made the decision not to allow Christian Comotto to depart the club this summer despite interest from multiple clubs.

MilanNews report that, barring any late surprises, Comotto will remain in the Milan squad for the 2026-27 season. The midfielder is understood to have impressed Ruben Amorim during the summer preseason camp and in the friendlies, earning himself a place in the new coach’s immediate plans.

The idea is that Comotto will get minutes in the right moments but will also continue his development by training regularly with the first team, where there are players such as Luka Modric to be able to shadow and learn from.

Calciomercato.com meanwhile claim that Parma, Bologna, and Sassuolo all enquired about the Italian talent. They also confirm that he will remain with the Rossoneri at least until the January transfer window, ready to fight for a spot after recently renewing until 2031.

Amorim therefore appears intent on also focusing on the most promising talents from the youth academy, and Comotto is one of the players who has most attracted his attention. It was seen on Sunday in Torino as the Portuguese gave Alphadjo Cisse his full competitive debut, and he rewarded that faith with the opening goal.
