The Milan looks to the future and the name of Virgil van Dijk continues to fuel a suggestion that, for characteristics and timing, would have all the elements to become one of the great transfer stories of the coming years. First, however, there is a fundamental objective: to return steadily to the European top and secure a place in the Champions League.

The track leading to the Dutch defender was revived in recent hours by Carlo Pellegatti, who on his YouTube channel recalled a previous rumor linked to possible interest from the red-and-black club. The journalist emphasized that the name of van Dijk has never been just a casual suggestion.

WORDS, "Every now and then they tease me about van Dijk and I accept the teasing. But they also teased me in January before Zlatan Ibrahimovic arrived. I keep saying that Gerry Cardinale's phrase was: 'Either we will take him now by paying for him, or we will take him next year for free'. I said that van Dijk will eventually arrive."

At the moment, however, it is important to distinguish the dream from reality. There are no concrete negotiations between Milan and the Liverpool centre-back, who remains one of the absolute leaders of the English side. His contract with the Reds expires on 30 June 2027 and only in the coming months will it be possible to understand what his future will be.
