Cagliari knocked on Milan's door for Francesco Camarda. A few days before the transfer window closed, the red and blue club made an inquiry about the young red and black striker, aiming to strengthen its attacking department. However, the request found no opening from the club on Via Aldo Rossi.
In fact there would not have been a real negotiation: Cagliari would have asked for information on the player, also considering a possible loan, but Milan responded negatively. The club's position is clear: Camarda is part of the project and, barring last-minute surprises, will remain available to Ruben Amorim at least until January.
The Portuguese coach has repeatedly reiterated his confidence in the 2008-born player, considering him an important resource for the season. After the renewal until 2031 and a positive pre-season, Milan therefore wants to continue focusing on his development. Cagliari will have to look elsewhere for a new centre-forward.
