The home debut of Milan and the hunt for continuity after the success in Turin: San Siro responds with a sold out
The new Milan under Ruben Amorim is ready for the home debut in front of its own fans. After the very disappointing end of last season, which ended with a home defeat against Cagliari, the Rossoneri must start strong this season. After the nice victory in Turin, the Amorim side intends to continue its good run, albeit brief in form in this new 2026/2027 season.
Tomorrow evening at San Siro the newly promoted Venezia arrives, coming off a 2-0 loss to Lecce in the first Serie A matchday, but beware: never underestimate an opponent that will come to Milan with nothing to lose and therefore very little pressure on their shoulders. If last season the strength was in the big matches and the weakness against the so‑called “small” ones, tomorrow Amorim’s boys will have to try to reverse, indeed balance the trend by starting to take points even against teams that on paper look more approachable.
San Siro sold out for the season opener
The Milan crowd, once again, shows up. In fact, after the highest average attendance in the last two seasons, for the Milan‑Venezia match tomorrow evening at 20.45 the stadium will be sold out, a testimony to the anticipation for the first home game of the season and the strong participation of Milan fans. The away sector is also sold out, which this Serie A season, as we know, will have a novelty: reduced capacity.
