After the purchase of the Meazza and the surrounding areas by the company San Siro S.p.A., led by Milan and Inter on 5 November 2025, the new San Siro project is starting to take shape. But what is still missing? There have been some delays to the initial schedule, which had foreseen completing the works by 2030. In October, however, the official render will finally be presented, followed by the last bureaucratic steps and the opening of the construction site. The new deadline has been set. This time no delays are allowed: the stakes are high.

The area will become multifunctional, with a total renovation and the inclusion of commercial functions, green areas and galleries. The old Meazza will be partially demolished (as already happened to the south ticket office): only a tower and part of the second blue ring, the beating heart of the red-black supporters, should be preserved.
