Transfer market Milan, there is still a gap with Porto over Gimenez: according to Marco Pasotto the offer has not been considered by the Rossoneri
The future of Santiago Gimenez remains one of the hot topics of Milan's outgoing market. The Mexican striker, who joined the Rossoneri last January, could leave the club after a few months, with Porto currently representing the most concrete option.
According to analysis by Marco Pasotto on La Gazzetta dello Sport, compared to previous transfer windows two important conditions have changed: Milan would have opened the possibility of a transfer also on loan with an option to buy, while Gimenez himself would have made himself available to change clubs.
Milan, Gimenez-Porto: valuation gap
The dialogue with Porto would be the most advanced, but the gap between the two clubs has not yet been closed. The Portuguese's first proposal, a loan with an option to buy for 15 million euros, would not have satisfied Milan, which considered it too low.
After a cooling-off phase, however, contacts would have resumed. The Rossoneri club values the Mexican's registration around 25 million euros, a figure necessary to try to avoid a loss on the investment made.
Gimenez-Milan, the player has opened to Porto
The situation could evolve thanks to the player's willingness. Gimenez, in fact, would have already given his approval to a transfer to Porto, a destination that would allow him to relaunch after an initial period at Milan also affected by injury.
Now it remains to find economic agreement between the two clubs: Porto wants to close the deal, while Milan awaits a proposal closer to its own demands.
