“In a sense it is like that. We know very well his importance in French football and his aura. He occupies a huge space and people expect a lot from him.”

Rabiot also emphasized Zidane’s ability to handle pressure and empower the group:

“On his part, however, he tries to stay out of the way as much as possible, making sure the focus is mainly on the players. And this, sometimes, allows us to feel more relaxed (smiles).”

The new course of France is therefore ready to start, with Zidane called upon to confirm the ambitions of a national team accustomed to competing at the highest level.
