Today the Giuseppe Meazza stadium celebrates a very important milestone: 100 years of existence. It began on 19 September 1926 with a legendary derby, the history of the glorious Football Ladder has spanned a century of emotions, trophies and champions. Yet, on the very day of its centenary, the gaze of Milan and Inter is firmly projected towards the future.

Milan, all about the new stadium

The shared objective of the Milan clubs is clear: deliver to the city a truly cutting‑edge arena before the European championships of 2032. The project foresees staggering numbers, a commercial structure designed to project the two teams to the top of international football.

We are talking about a structure with about 71,500 seats of which over 13,000 Premium seats dedicated to business and Hospitality. The overall operation is estimated around 2 billion and 149 million euros while the redevelopment of the surrounding area could generate up to 418 million euros.

To meet the 2032 deadline, the bureaucratic machine will have to move at a very fast pace: the opening of the construction site is scheduled for the second half of 2027, right after the approval of the implementation plan by the Municipality of Milan.
