Kristian Thorstvedt, neroverde player, spoke at a press conference after the Sassuolo-Milan match, a valid fixture for the 6th matchday of the Serie A 2026-2027 championship that took place at the 'Mapei Stadium' in Reggio Emilia. Here are his statements.

It is a draw that is worth as much: "Important, always, against a strong team. But we would have deserved more. We played very well, only the last piece is missing. I missed two chances, and in at least one I have to score even if the referee whistled too early".

If the manager asks him to fill the area: "It is important to put players inside the area. We play in a fluid way, which means that many times the forwards drop down and the others have to make runs into the area. Against Monza, for example, we missed this aspect in the last quarter of the game. In this we have to grow even more".

If it is possible to maintain this concentration always: "Sure, we have to do it. It is too important. We have shown today but also against Juventus that we have mentality. A bit less against Monza, but every match we must have that mentality of working for each one, for the team. That is how matches are won".

How important it is to be part of Norway: "It helps me a lot. Going there with players who have very high quality. I watch the players who play in the Premier, like Odegaard, who is my idol, and every time I go to the National team I try to learn something from him. So for me it is important and I like it a lot".

On the difference in Sassuolo's performance, home and away: "Hard to say if it is something that is inside us or is random. The next away game we will try to win it".

On the renewal: "I do not want to talk about these things".

What happened in the penalty area at the moment of the cancelled goal: "I do not know. After the match I saw the replay and for me the referee whistled too early, because the ball did not even reach where the incident was. Normally they wait a bit and then decide. It is a pity, because in my opinion it was not a foul".
