Still zero minutes on the pitch since the start of the season. Three benches out of three, without even a minute as a substitute. A satire that does not involve only Christian Pulisic, but also a Milan jewel. Sharing the same fate as Pulisic is Camarda.

Milan, the tortuous path of Camarda

At Milan the undisputed starter is the Portuguese, while the young Camarda, despite the departures of Gimenez, Nkunku and Leao, has not managed to find space.

The Portuguese is indeed Amorim’s favourite, a real reference point. Both when he scores, as against Venezia, and when he fails to hit the target, as happened on Saturday against Juventus.

Camarda, obviously, has characteristics very different from those of Ramos. The first is linked to age: the Italian is a 2008‑born, who became of age just last March. But a bit of football maturity is still lacking, which still somewhat remains missing.

Looking at the season at Lecce, the red‑and‑black jewel still seemed very raw, both physically and mentally: only 21 appearances, of which 6 as a starter, a missed penalty against Napoli and then a shoulder injury that kept him away from the green rectangle for several months. Not exactly an easy path. In January, in fact, Lecce signed Walid Cheddira.

Milan, however, despite the negative season, decided to bring him back home, continuing to invest in the youngster. Summer, however, has ‘brought luck’ to the youngster. Starting from the friendly against Celtic, Camarda managed to avoid defeat with a splendid brace, keeping rumors about his future alive.

The subsequent friendlies, against Inter, Chelsea and United, however, did not give the same positive answers. Camarda played twice, without making an impact. Time is needed, however: the youngster is only 18 years old and must grow, and the devil does not intend to lose such a promising talent.
