The current season will be a time of profound change for Milan. The first sign came after Milan-Cagliari, when the club decided to proceed with a complete reset of the sports and management area. The team is still under construction, but one thing is certain: Gerry Cardinale has chosen to take on a more central role in the club's strategic decisions.

Cardinale had already started this process in the final part of the previous season, with the RedBird number one increasingly present at Milanello and close to the team during some away games. Now, however, the change of pace is evident: Cardinale participated directly in the choice of the new coach and the management structure.
