Gerry Cardinale is looking for a house in Milan amid his increased presence at Milanello and at San Siro, keen on skipping the frequent hotel visits.

Since the start of the summer, Cardinale has been very involved in the AC Milan project. Not only has he taken on more responsibility with the day-to-day operations, but he has also been more physically present, visiting the training ground and watching the games from the stands.

He was in the stands for the first two games, in which Milan beat Torino and Venezia, and he’s expected to make the trip to Turin for Juventus-Milan tomorrow. However, because he’s more involved, staying at a hotel isn’t feasible in the long term.

A second home in Italy

According to today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport, as cited by MilanPress , Cardinale is actually looking for a house in the city of Milan, or near it anyway. This will allow him to skip the hotel visits and create more of a bond with Italy in general.

It’s certainly an indication that he intends to keep this presence up and that we’re not just talking about early-season optimism from the American. Let’s wait and see if he finds a place that suits him, even if we will never be given the exact address (for obvious reasons!).

Since RedBird are very invested in business in the US, his base will remain there, but the place in Italy should act as a second home.
