Juventus-Milan, also a market showdown: who moved better?
Juve-Milan pits Randal Kolo Muani and Gonçalo Ramos, the offensive forwards of the two teams, against each other. They wore the same shirt, that of Paris Saint-Germain, for three years, and were fighting for the striker position. In the end the Portuguese was chosen by Luis Enrique, before both decided to move on to get more continuity.
Juve-Milan, Ramos and Kolo Muani compared
The reference formation was 4-3-3. With Mbappé and Dembélé wide on the flanks, the central role remained to be divided between the Frenchman and the Portuguese. Luis Enrique used them together very little: only 582 minutes in 12 games, of which in 7 both started and only one goal was built together.
The numbers and Luis Enrique's choice
Behind the overtaking there are also tactical reasons. When Luis Enrique moves Dembélé further inside the field and Mbappé says goodbye, the characteristics of the current Rossoneri striker become more useful. Ramos provided greater intensity in the pressing phase and much more aerial presence inside the penalty area.
