During the summer friendly cycle, Milan has shown a constant factor: the tendency to fall behind. As highlighted by Marco Pasotto on Gazzetta.it, the Milan team has fallen behind in all three preparation matches against Celtic, Inter, and Chelsea. This is his analysis:
«If so far Milan had given significant signs of reaction - from 0-2 to 2-2 with Celtic, from 0-1 to 1-1 in the derby -, this time the reaction did not arrive. In fact, after the first goal in the first half, more goals followed in the first five minutes of the second half. The team was flat after the interval and, even more seriously, flat for the rest of the second half. In practice, Milan never tried or, more probably, was never able to try».
