Luka Modric has arrived in Perth to start his second season with AC Milan, expected to play a crucial role in Ruben Amorim's project. The Croatian midfielder is eager to finish his career on a high note after the failure at the end of the 2025-26 season. Modric has been training constantly during the holidays and is not rusty. He will celebrate his 41st birthday on September 9th, still playing and having won the Champions League six times.
Amorim has welcomed Modric with open arms, having already spoken to him several times on the phone. The Portuguese coach believes Modric's experience will help young players develop and be crucial in the team's development. Modric's teammates are happy to see him renew his contract, and the Ballon d'Or he won in 2018 will remain on display in the Casa Milan museum.
Modric will dedicate himself entirely to the Rossoneri jersey after his final match with the national team on October 6th. He dreams of winning another trophy, the 35th of his career. The arrival of Modric in Perth has been eagerly awaited by many Rossoneri fans and Croatians who are crazy about him.
The likes of Koni De Winter and Alexis Saelemaekers are expected to arrive soon, reinforcing the team. Amorim's words have struck a chord with Modric, who had already convinced himself that continuing for another season was the right choice.
