A new era officially begins for French football. After the long spell of Didier Deschamps, the new head coach Zinedine Zidane has issued the first France squad list, called upon to face Turkey, Belgium and Italy in the upcoming fixtures.

Among the 23 players selected by the new coach are also two Milan players: Mike Maignan and Adrien Rabiot. The Rossoneri goalkeeper remains a reference point for the trans‑Alpine national team, while the midfielder was confirmed in the group after his arrival in Milan. Former Rossoneri Pierre Kalulu is also present, while Theo Hernandez and Marcus Thuram were not called up.

France will face Turkey on September 25, Belgium on the 28th, then Italy on October 2 before closing again against Belgium on October 5.
