Speaking on news.bet365.it, journalist Gianluca Di Marzio gave an assessment of the first part of the season for Milan under Rúben Amorim, focusing on the impact of the new signings and analysing the possible corrective moves the Rossoneri management could make during the winter transfer window.
SUMMER TRANSFER WINDOW AND MOREIRA, “I think Milan has done a good transfer window, bringing in three strong players. I believe Moreira could be another surprise and could perform even better than expected; I think he could be one of the top three signings of the Italian transfer market. What do the Rossoneri lack? In January they will need at least one centre-back, in my opinion, to improve their reliability, given that so far Milan have conceded too many goals.”
AMORIM AND THE OBJECTIVES, “Amorim will need time to build an identity, but the Rossoneri, in my view, can finish in the top four. For Milan it will be crucial first that the players quickly assimilate the new coach’s ideas and then the coach and management will have to decide who to buy in the January market to reinforce and improve the squad.”
During his comments, the market expert highlighted that the tactical adaptation under Rúben Amorim’s guidance is a key step for the continuation of the 2026/2027 season. Di Marzio also stressed the need to intervene in the defensive department during the repair window to give the team more solidity and to secure qualification for the upper positions of the table.
