The future of Fikayo Tomori at Milan remains shrouded in doubt. The English defender, initially out of the technical plans and then reinstated at the last minute, has still not managed to find playing time in this first part of the season and his situation could return to the centre of the market already in the coming months.

The point on the situation was made by Marco Pasotto, journalist of La Gazzetta dello Sport, who emphasized that the return of the centre‑back to the squad has nevertheless not substantially changed the hierarchies.

TOMORI AND THE FUTURE, "The cleared player rehabilitated. But it is clearly a partial rehabilitation. So much so that a departure already in January cannot be excluded. In any case this will be the last season in red‑and‑black for Fik, dropped by Amorim and then reinstated at the last moment. Up to now, although the Englishman still represents an experienced profile, his minutes on the pitch are zero."

The picture described by Pasotto is therefore quite clear. Despite the experience accumulated at Milan and the weight he had in past seasons, Tomori does not seem to have truly returned to the centre of Ruben Amorim’s technical project.

The most significant data remains the playing time: zero appearances so far. A situation that inevitably raises questions about the club’s and the player’s next moves.

If the picture does not change in the coming weeks, January could become a decisive turning point. For Tomori, therefore, this season could truly represent the last chapter of his experience at Milan.
