On the sidelines of the Biennale of cooperative economy promoted by LegaCoop, Milan mayor Giuseppe Sala spoke about the next steps, emphasizing especially the need to respect a precise timetable ahead of Euro 2032.

THE NEXT STEPS, « The next steps are obviously in the hands of the two clubs. I expect that the next step, soon, will finally be to show the stadium rendering. I believe they are working on it, in fact I know they are working on it to be able to present it soon, I don't know when, that seems to me the first thing to do. The second thing to do is to keep to the schedule, therefore a serious work programme, we cannot miss the Euro 2032 opportunity, it would be a disastrous image for the city. So the issue is to clarify the timings well, because although we workers have them in mind, the citizens do not. At this point a transparency operation towards the citizens is needed. The first point is really to make sure Sir Norman Foster and Manica come to Milan and show the result of their work ».

The new San Siro project is therefore preparing to enter the public presentation phase. For Sala, in addition to defining the architectural project entrusted to Sir Norman Foster and Manica, it will be essential to communicate the work schedule clearly to citizens and ensure respect for the timing linked to the Euro 2032 appointment.
